The objective of Health Education Bureau is to strengthen Information, Education and Communication (IEC) activities of all national and state health programmes in the State to improve coordination, better and efficient use of resources, population related programmes and to meet growing needs in the health sector. Health Education Bureau does the publicity /awareness of such health programmes through advertisements in local newspapers, magazines and electronic media and also participation in exhibitions by displaying posters, stickers etc., to reach the information at the grass root level. Also, to promote public to participate in health programmes to understand and control spread of various diseases. The entire National and State level programmes are being conducted under this bureau.
